If they can't trade him they may buy him out. -Rockets have made it clear to anyone who will ask that they will be BUYERS at the deadline and that they want wings Names mentioned by IKO: Ellington (Miami) -suggests a trade that also brings James Johnson back Garret Temple and Jaymichal Green (Memphis) Kentavious Caldwell Pope (Lakers) Bazemore (ATL) Rodney Hood (CLE)
The KCP trade is kinki wacky. Sure LA night need a PG with Rondo/Ball out but they can try Ingram as the main facilitator and when LeBron is back he runs the show. Trading for a guy who has played like 50 minutes in nearly 2 years doesn't solve much. And they aren't about to take on salary in 2019-20 when they are trying to keep max salary. We were involved in KCP trade talks when there was a possible 3 team trade. There's no way this happens with Knight as salary matching
If we get James Johnson and Wayne Ellington from all this I will just laugh. We will have suddenly become a very deep team? Especially with Faried as a back up big and suddenly a bevy of wings to go to.
Yeah his proposed LA deal seems impossible. Every deal that requires Brandon Knight to go back would be extremely expensive (meaning we have to include multiple picks) and the other team has to be fine locking up cap space. No chance the Lakers lock up cap space next year into brandon knight.
I would be interested in seeing the "under the radar" trade suggestions that DON'T include Knight. I am talking "Chriss+Melo" or "Chriss+Melo+Ennis" or "Chriss+Melo+Nene" Those are deals that could be made without giving up a 1st round pick. Maybe just a 2020 2nd round pick (they don't have their 2nd rounder this year).
Right, like Chriss+Melo for Ellington is a viable trade if you are spinning Chriss to a 3rd team. Saves Miami money, gets them Melo. Those are the types of deals I'm curious about because I don't think there's much chance they can move Knight in a deal that doesn't suck.
MCW was horrific but Morey made up for it by bringing in Rivers Chriss is bad but Morey made up for it by eventually bringing in Faried Melo was lol but Morey made up for it by bringing in Clark Clark was misfiring for a while but Morey made up for it by bringing in House Gotta say, the Basketball GM Gods are looking favorably upon Morey this year despite the clunkers he created.
