Beggars can’t be choosers, though. It’s going to be very difficult to accomplish both goals. I’d imagine they value cutting salary and avoiding LT implications more than hovering around .500 just to barely qualify for the playoffs and get annhilated by Milwaukee, Toronto or Philly.
JaGreen basically fixes all the Rockets problems by himself, the perfect fit. He would start here with PJ back at SF where he belongs.
What if Morey is waiting for February 6th to make a move for: Rodney Hood Matthew Delladova for Brandon Knight 1st Rounder 2nd Rounder ? Delly can't be combined in a trade until Feb 6th and this would improve our guard depth and, more importantly, shooting.
I want my SF more offensive minded. I personally want the SF to be able to create on their own when their is a mismatch. House actually could do that. He could abuse a stiff guarding him.
If we are talking 2K, sure. Except you have arguably the greatest guard and reigning MVP on this team. Ariza was crucial to this team because he was defensive minded and took the load off of harden on the defensive end. It's as much about enabling harden as it is to have a shot creator. Of course, PJ can be the SF defensively and PF offensively assuming you have another versatile forward on the floor.
And we missed 27 straight 3 pointers in Game 7 and Trevor went 0 for a million. We need more offensive options.
I hope we get James Johnson. Would be an excellent backup for this team. Strikes me as a championship calibre role player. I doubt Tilman approves taking back salary beyond this season though.
Because he is not great defender at the 3 and he is not a great ball handler and would be a zero threat off the dribble, that would be 3 guys who could not dribble out of 5.
