@Codman posted this in the Game Thread. Nene is a close source for him, so I'm sure he actually talked to him on phone or via texting.

Hopefully we get a fair whistle tonight. It's sad that teams have to reach out to the league in order to get a fair shake. Shouldn't happen

Curious if team complaints to league happen every year, multiple times during playoffs in other constant-motion sports -- Soccer and Hockey??

Didn't take a lot to see there was a mandate for the refs to be pro-Spurs the last two games. Maybe they'll give us some calls this game, maybe not. Either way, it'll be pretty clear what the refs were instructed to do.

I have a strong suspicion that San Antonio did it first, which is why we saw such a drastic shift in the way things were officiated between games 1 and 2. Hopefully this just brings things back to equilibrium...... call the same contact on both sides of the floor..... common sense.

It's obvious. Refs were on an agenda. Executed plans to perfection

There was also a drastic difference in how Harden's defenders held up their hands. I'm willing to bet Pops said something like,

"I'm going to instruct all my players to hold their hands up when defending JH, so if you give him one of those calls, then you suck and the wrath of my ire-eye and red nose will be cast down upon ye, and ye shall shrivel-up in consternation, swallowing thy whistle with constipation."

The three pointer fouls are one thing, but Pau Gasol has been whacking the crap out of everyone in the paint. Guards driving, bigs rebounding, no one is safe. Yet, never a whistle?

I'm the type that in the heat of the moment, I'll lose it about the refs, afterwards I'll realize we just got outplayed.

The one thing that does bother me though, was just how blatant a couple of plays were.

Play 1 - Bev's offensive foul on the fast break to begin the game which would have lead to a Harden dunk and a huge boost of momentum. Come on... do those refs honestly call that on Kyrie if Lebron is trailing? No, they'd realize it's good for the NBA to see Lebron get a breakaway dunk. Bev literally handed it off, ran into an unoccupied area and Murray just kept running.

Play 2 - Leonard's no call when he literally changed directions to completely run over Ariza. I would just like to hear an explanation as to why that wasn't called.

We could make a list of top 25 blatantly suspicious referee actions in this series. When we got toasted by Portland a few years ago, or Golden State the last couple of times, it was because the other team was better.

This time, there's something seriously fishy going on. Shades of the 2005 Dallas series.

I know, and more than that just Gasol, too I'm just thinking that Pops offered a Quid Pro Quo for holding up their arms, making refs job easier, in exchange for no whistle on the 3, and when he delivered by players following those instruction, Spurs got even more preferential treatment.

... or the League told the refs to screw us.
