    Ah, your usual:

    We control our own destiny. We're in the driver's seat with their schedule. We think we're the best team in the Central. We're not playing for the WC.

    Nothing too inflammatory, I just thought it was a little overly optimistic ;).

    Astros would have to play VERY poorly right now for the Cards to win.

    In fact, if the Astros go 8-9 over their last 17 games, the Cards would have to go 13-3 to win the division.

    Even if that happens, then (assuming Arizona wins the west) San Fran would have to go 15-1 to overtake the Astros for the wild card.

    So an 8-9 finish would still just about guarantee a playoff spot. Anything more, and the division is ours.

    Cards are playing very well. If we didn't have to face them so many more times, I would say that we are a lock to win the central. However, if our bats go silent, they could take 5 of 6 from us. Their offense is hot right now.

    Also, our schedule is alot harder then their schedule.

    But, I have faith. I think we win the division.

    The Bucs look like they're just mailing it in. That really sucks! Hopefully the Cubs are on verge of doing the same.

    LOL Maybe I did jinx them but I think we'll take 3 runs in 7 innings from Mlicki any day of the week!

    This game makes you wonder if the Cards were "hot" because they were playing crap teams like the Brewers and Pirates. They also made Mlicki look like Greg Maddux.

    You know, I only remember two bad outings by Dave. He doesn't have Wade Miller type stuff, but he ahs excellent control.

    I think we still need to win one more in this series to feel safe. We have a tough schedule left.
