Wow they have just been dominating the Giants tonight. The often bashed Dave Mlicki with an awesome game. Lugo and Berkman with 3 hits each. Maybe they're coming out of their little slumps. Things are looking up!
I feel the need to write this, since I bash him so often: Congrats to Mlicki on a great game! It's only right that the first to bash be the first to praise!
Did any of you read about the St. Louis Cardinals today on ESPN? They're a little cocky for a team that's 4.5 games back with 17 remaining! PS Oswalt and Miller are featured in another article at espn.com
Is the Fox gun a little slow? Wags at 94? Dotel at 92? Nen at 94? These guys throw alot harder then that. Did you guys watch the game? I sort of felt sorry for Nen. He looked pretty sad out there. Oh well, he'll bounce back. Stros just swept the best home team in the NL. Let's not let up against the Cubs.
Not to look too far ahead, for I expect the Cubs to give us all we can handle at Enron, but it's gonna be a collision when we meet Edmonds, PUjols, and the Cards.
Congrats to the Astros! Clutch is really a great word to describe this team. Just so clutch. Bidge - in a slump right now, but as we have seen in the past, he'll come out of it. Lugo - Julio has really impressed me over the last few games. Didn't I see somewhere that he has had one of the best averages in September? Baggy - Classic Jeff Bagwell. One of the smartest ball players. IMO, the team MVP. Berkman - Note to Astros: HOLD ON TO THIS GUY! He'll be an all-star every year, mark my words. Alou - Alou combines intangibles, fielding, and great hitting to contribute. Struggles in spurts, but we need to keep him. Dalgy - Who let the dogs out? Finally some life, and it feels so good!!!!! VINNY! - Mullet man is da bomb. Clutch hitting + excellent fielding=ideal Houston Astros 3 baseman. Brausmus - Stolen from the tigers; I think all astros fans feel comfortable with Brad behind the plate.
