True, I think Barkley was a great player but Dwight does all those things. I think Dwight is a better offensive player than Barkely was a defensive player
Barkley is right but even a donkey could tell that from a mile away. Someone please attach kiss ass gif.
Barkley crazy good the first few years with phoenix. His post game was underrated. But way better than dwight
Yeah better than Dwight all time. Barkley was pretty epic at his peak I just don't think Dwight is that bad
i think the team is really starting to turn the corner. in the last 1/3 of the season the nba better watch out. lawson, jones, and brewer are on the up and up.
When we signed Dwight I thought we were getting the best center of this generation who would help balance our team and be Mr Inside to James Harden being Mr Outside, but he is not that at all. The injuries and bad post play has really been a disappointment as a Rockets fan.
Barkley has intimate knowledge with the fact that isoball is not winning basketball. If anyone would know...
Dwight is definitely on the decline - look at his block shot numbers - he can get rebounds but he is not the explosive beast he once was even when he first came here. Harden is so good, so talented, but in a league with guys like the Spurs, Curry and Green, and Lebron who just aren't ultratalented - but so competitive they do whatever it takes to win on both ends of the court and off the court - it's just not good enough. Fact is you can't find someone of Harden's talent unless you get ridiculously lucky. You have to hope he finds his way and grows up a bit more. Maybe the best thing is to blow this team up, keep Harden and the young guys, and suck for a year in hopes of getting a great player to put along side Harden.
The only way to beat teams like Spurs, OKC, Cavs, and GSW is to form our own big 3 like they do. These days, the contenders all havea a team of big 3 complimented by skilled role players. It's ultra competitive.
Of course they are wrong! It's fine if they wanna believe that, since the media hardly ever watches the Rockets play (not that I can blame them lol). They probably watch a few highlights here and there where they see Harden dribble for 10+ seconds and form their opinion based on that. It does happen a few times a game, but that is not what the entire offense is. Sadly, there are quite a few posters on here too, who believe that that is exactly what is happening.
