He's streaking right now. And I'm not talking about offensively.

Defensively, he may be turning the corner. He's moving better, sliding better, and is providing some rim protection.

The offensive skills are all there. One of the most offensive skilled bigs in the league. He was a little too aggressive last night. But that's a given on that team right now.

He's not shooting the 3 right now but he can. Him (and AD) is playing in an awful system in NO.

If he can maintain and improve upon this defensive uptick he'll turn into a great repo project and will have a career comeback. Need to watch him right now. This looks like the beginnings of a breakout to me Still only 23.

Putting up respectable numbers on a crappy team against crappy competition? Sounds like Okafor.

    Once again.

I'm not talking about his offense. His defense is what has held him back. He's showing something defensively with these extended minutes.

I'll admit that I didn't watch that game but who was he guarding for most of the night? I'm hoping it wasn't Blake Griffin who went for 37/9/7.

He was on Griffin some. Blocked Blake either 2 or 3 times in the first half down low. Also contested some shots in the paint that were misses. Also on zaza. Turned him over. Boxed out well.

Blake used 32 possessions to get his 37. That's meh efficiency this year.

Watch the game. I started this thread because I watched it and Okafor showed something defensively. He was a factor defensively. Was better defensively than Julius.

But is his defense on Joe Chee's level though?

This is the guy that thinks Zhou Qi could have been used on defense against Kevin Durant in the WCF. (AKA, better than Ariza/Tucker/Luc)

Literally the worst defensive scout of all time.

No it’s not his defense nor his offense, many players that lacked defensively were able to strive in the league for years , it’s inside his head is the problem, so don’t cotinue with your revelation.

Stephen A Smith believes Jahlil Okafor is a #1 Pick over Karl Anthony Towns. I had Towns as #1, I was right, years ago. Due to his Free Throw Shooting I liked Towns more during his College Years.
