Well, it's not like their roster is a bunch of dirt without Kawhi. Their best players might be older but they're all proven guys.
That's what I was curious about. What does that dirty play from in the playoffs have to do with what he is out for now??
Gregg Popovich on Kawhi Leonard: “We said indefinite just so that I wouldn't have to keep answering your questions every day."
I like POP I think he is a great coach but I recall he hamstrung Dale Harris - Tanked to get Duncan and then immediately fired Harris Took over the team with a New Tim Duncan and a Rested David Robinson and the rest is history Could Dale have done what POP did . .. one will never know . . .. Rocket River
Lol they will just drop a few seeds or so and demolish some poor team in the first round that worked hard for home court advantage
Yeah he jumped in on perfect timing but he's done a great job ever since that, plus minus a few championships they should've won but choked out on.
I've never 100% felt he was going to resign with the Spurs in a couple of years when he's a FA.... so my next thought was.... how much is he worth on the trade market?
That's surprising. Have the Spurs ever had any issues with a star player under Popovich? Ok, let me rephrase. Have they had irreparable issues? They made peace with LaMarcus Aldridge and he reupped for a new deal. Parker and Pop butted heads for years, but eventually they saw eye-to-eye. There were never any issues with Robinson, Duncan, or Manu. I'm sure non-star players have had their problems with the organization. I know Horry ain't a Pop fan because he cut him loose after the 2008 season. But this is a story I wasn't expecting to hear. As a long-time Spurs hater though, it's music to my ears.
Logic from past experiences says the Spurs will work this out. See the LMA issue last summer. That said, I would LOVE to see the Spurs have to deal with some drama.
