Based on his skin tone, hair texture, and facial bone structure, dude is Chinese Samoan with some German ancestry. Very common mixture in American Samoa.
Certainly they paid for an interview. I can't believe Teo went on Couric. She hit pretty hard, but he did well.
I wish someone would ask the most difficult questions - why he never visited her (or her grave), did he ever reach out to her parents, etc.

Oh nice - what did he say? That, to me, has always been the biggest hole in the most likely theory of what really happened (online relationship, he was embarassed, then duped through and past her death, then got sucked in to the web of lies).
The part that I recall discussed when he had a flight in San Diego/LA (He had layovers in both I think) why he didn't go then to visit her in the hospital. He said he didn't have time. Katie asked him why he wouldn't just reschedule his flight to visit somebody he loved in the hospital when he was so close. Manti said he didn't think his parents would understand, which Katie said that would be hard to believe. The interview really hit on some things most of the media has largely ignored.
