This coming Saturday. I'm gonna say this though, I lived in La Grange for a long time... That fair usually doesn't have more than 5,000 in the gates at one time. For ZZ Top the estimated numbers so far are 40-50,00. In a town with a population of 4500. I have know idea where everybody's gonna park even with shuttles in use... its gonna be real.
I was there over 15,000 season tickets sold in advance plus more sold at the gate. I have no clue how many people actually showed up but it was a lot. Getting in the place was not that bad, but very disorganized getting out.
It was ok. I'm more of a casual fan than hardcore fan of theirs. I was hoping for a greatest hits show, but they mixed some stuff I have never heard of and skipped a few songs I thought they would play. Overall it was a good time. The bus pick up at the end of the night could have been a lot more organized, but $3 beer kind of made up for that.
