'Loveless' is one of the greatest albums of all-time. Get on it. Also, 'Darklands' by the Jesus and Mary Chain. Do that.

My top 10 at the moment (no particular order):

    Chavez - Ride the Fader
    My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Don Caballero - What Burns Never Returns
    Unwound - Repetition
Swirlies - They've Spent Their Wild...
    Tiger Trap - S/T
    Flaming Lips - Soft Bulletin
Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime
    The Jesus Lizard - Goat
    Polvo - Cor Crane Secret
    Sonic Youth - Washing Machine
    Stereolab - Emperor Tomato Ketchup
    Black Tambourine - S/T
    Boredoms - Vision Creation Newsun

Ah eff it. There's just too many.

This one is my favorite list so far. I wore out OK Computer, Dummy, and Odelay in particular. I'd add Siamese Dream, only because I wore that sh_t out too.

Some I haven't seen, call this my "alternate" top ten... (have sped through the thread so I apologize if I'm repeating any):

    Jeff Buckley - Grace
    No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom
Reel Big Fish - Turn the Radio Off
    The Sundays - Blind
    Tom Petty - Wildflowers
    The Verve - Urban Hymns
Lauren Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
Joseph Arthur - Come to Where I'm From
    Fiona Apple - Tidal
The Beastie Boys - Ill Communication

Oh, I was actually just talking about shoegaze in general. :) It's all good, though.

Speaking of MBV, I've been jamming the hell out of Ecstasy and Wine recently. Great stuff.

Also, check out that Swirlies album I mentioned if you haven't before. Really, really underrated.

    Ok, I'm done.

Stone Temple Pilots - Core / Purple
Bush - Sixteen Stone (First album when their sound was still fresh)

I threw it in since they just toured 20th anniv. of it here in 2010, but then saw that later. I have no problem substituting Trompe into my list as well.

Good call. I think this album is great but nowhere near my favorites of the decade.

    Again, great album, though. Repped.

I absolutely cannot believe I forgot to mention this album in my ten. That album is amazing. I wore that out... I even had 2 girlfriends end up with it after we broke up and still bought it a third time.

Damn, I also forgot to mention Ben Folds Five... Both the self titled album (with Philosophy and Jackson Cannery) and Whatever and Ever Amen.

Yeah Colour and the Shape is exceptional.

Also Siamese Dream was hard to leave off my list.
