Original = Music implicitly created for the movie/video game/whatever.

I personally love the original soundtrack for the original Conan the Barbarian.

This is my favorite as well.

2nd place goes to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

3rd place goes to For a Few Dollars More

    4th place goes to Waterworld

5th place goes to Last of the Mohicans

Hard to choose a favorite but a few come to mind:

Video games: Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII

Movie/TV: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Cowboy Bebop

    I think these are original?

I believe that this is a fail; At least one song, Institutionalized by Suicidal Tendencies, was on their debut album first.

Empire Strikes Back ... Imperial March!!

Last Temptation of Christ .... Bread and Wine.. SO awesome!

City of Angels ,,, a great collection of music, just overall good stuff

Beaches ... I think It's Gonna Rain Today .. best version of that song EVER

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang .... POSH!!

South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut ... What Would Brian Boitano Do??

Chariots of Fire ... Possibly the most famous theme song ever

Blade Runner ... Vangelis captured the mood of that film perfectly

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events .. Quirky and mechanical, really cool

Little Mermaid ... So many good ones! Kiss De Girl! Part of That World!

Pulp Fiction ... never gets old... You'll Be A Woman Soon!

    Dey's jes so many!

Last of the Mohicans is basically one super-great tune, rearranged over and over again until the last couple of tracks, which happened when the composer left the production before the soundtrack was finished, and so they replaced him with someone else who did these jarringly-different and modern-sounding pieces, it really ruins it.
