We will see. They are very resilient and have been underdogs since Round 1. Without KD, i think they may win 2 games.

That would have been great if Andre Iguana had made five mid-range pull-up 2s instead of five threes.

Blazers will be a handful if not the favorites should KD not come back. With Durant, the Warriors definitely advance. It’ll be interesting to see how GS holds up over the next 2 series as this is the least depth they’ve probably ever worked with. Unfortunately the biggest thing working against the Rockets was likely not the system or the players. Probably should have just beaten OKC and wrapped up the 2 seed.

Exactly, this is the guy that by all accounts pulled for several guys who couldn't shoot to sign with the Lakers.

He thinks Lue is a genius haha All Lue did was surround him with shooters.

Game on the line, you take ANY open shot as long as the ball is in the hands of a player who can make that shot. No one debates that. Analytics doesn't dispute that.

At least now we know why Lebron never considered the Rockets.

You mean Rondo, Stephenson, McGee weren't a good idea?

I'm really trying to figure out why he's taking shots at the Rockets. It feels so random and he's usually not a guy to just go after others like this that I almost wonder if he's been talking to CP and CP vented about it to him or something and then you have Harden with that vague ominous "I know what needs to be changed..." and now I'm over analyzing it.

But he needs to worry about his GM, his coach, and his FO.

I watched the end of it and thought the exact same thing. That’s why you take the midrange shots. You need to move the scoreboard and those are more likely to go in. You stop playing EFG and start playing FG when the sample size shrinks.

Look- if we want to spam 3’s, we need to do it in 7 seconds or less so that the most possible shots get put up in a game. Do it. Run the ball after every make and miss. Don’t walk the ball up the court if you want to use the spam strategy. Commit to it because the more shots that are taken, the more the math works in favor of 3>2. Grab a big lead doing that.

But in crunch time, you need to switch gears and shoot the shots that are going to fall for you. It’s the same math but now you are at a small sample size with only a few shots left. At that point you quit with the 3 is greater than 2. You stop trying to draw fouls you know they won’t call. You go to the open midrange and close it out. Portland just showed us how to do it.

We all saw us pull out of a 3 on 1 fast break to look for a 3. That’s how ridiculous our team has become. LeBron is right in this one.

Seriously? LeBron is the only man to take the Warriors down. He might know a little bit about basketball. I’m listening to him more than anyone else in this planet other than Kobe.

Calm down. They won’t be the favorites but If Durant were to miss the whole thing, they have a legitimate shot.

How about drafting a PG who can't make 3's or FT's?

Shocking that Lebron is at home.

I think he's mad that analytics booted his buddy Melo off the Rockets.

It's all about utilizing whatever options are afforded you - and the more you limit your options the more apt you are to paint yourself into a corner...

Midrange, 3 pt shot, pitp... if you eliminate any of them from your repertoire you're giving the defense less ground to defend - and giving yourself fewer options to exploit..

It's great to know what is the better - and to exploit it when its available... but when you got a 3 on 1 advantage on a fast break - and your guys are backpeddling to get behind the arc - rather than throwing it down... you've lost your way...

    jus sayin...
