Thanks from here as well, windandsea, and to all the translating help from the rest of you. ClutchCity.net... your international clearinghouse for all the latest NBA scoops and info! :)

It's interesting that Skiles was on their list. I wonder where Yao and his "advisors" came to consider him a top candidate. Larry Brown, of course, would be on almost any list of possible coaches for the Rocks, and JVG is not a surprise... but does Yao know Skiles somehow? And what is Skiles doing right now? I'm blanking out. Anyone know?

There was a good article posted on one of these threads about Skiles. It basically said he was one of the league's hottest young coaches and he was building a great rep. Then Jason Kidd said some stuff about him and his career was over and his phone hasn't been ringing since. I botched that up actually, but something like that.

The article made Skiles seem like a heck of a coach though.

Thanks, munco. So he's out of a job?
How many assistants will Les let JVG have, I wonder. I'd like to hear more about Skiles if anyone else has some info. I would like Van Gundy to have a first class bench helping him out. Rudy always needed more (and possibly better) assistants, imo. I was hoping he'd tinker with that before next season. Now we have a clean slate to work with. Who Van Gundy gets, besides 2 or 3 of his former people, will be intriguing.
