First Rockets player of the month since Olajuwon 11 or 12 years ago.

In a related story, Steve Kerr has been hospitalized after what his publicist is describing as an "allergic reaction" to pain killers. Kerr took the pain killers shortly after hearing the news.

I can never see why this board is so anti-Kerr. IIRC Kerr always gives props to Yao on national TV. The only mistake he has make about Yao is to once rank Chris Kaman ahead of him (two seasons ago?). Yes it was silly but I think he was just too caught up with a few breakout games of Kaman during that stretch.

Pretty sure it was last season as that was the first season the clippers were good.

I don't recall ever hearing/reading Kerr say nasty things about Yao, save for the "chinamen" comment. And I believe him when he says he wasn't aware it was a slur, because I made the same mistake in an old Bootlegsports.com column.

Good job, Yao! But the way to the Finals MVP is so long... ;)
