Who else has has a better week? 2-1 this week with him scoring 33, 28 and 29 in all these games. If he doesnt get POW this week then he isnt never going to win it.

i don't know. his rebounding has been subpar for a center in the last three games. and i'm sure there's someone else that has put up better number than Yao the past week. but Yao definitely deserves it.

Yao was nominated as one of the players of the month in Feb, that's hope he wins this week :)

30pts, 8rbn, wins against Wolves and Mavs

    -G'day-

It depends on how Shaq does today. If Shaq plays average, Yao has a good shot.

Getting those numbers and considering the teams he got it against should give Yao a sold case for Player of the Week.

The only thing is, the Rockets lost to the Lakers...even though Yao outplayed Shaq...

2-3 on this section of "tough games" very NICE!

shaq's been playing well. trying to creat some separation in the best center category which is becoming closer and closer.

They are close. Yao averaged 29.7 pts, 8rebs and Rox 2-1 against elite Western teams.

Dunno. KGs been averaging about 27 and 14, Shaq just dropped 32... It'll be tough.

Shaq is great, but Ming is getting it done vs. the elite teams in the Wesst.

29.7 ppg, 63% from the floor, 100% from FT line, 8 rpg. We are 2-1, not too shabby.

Anyway, if he plays like this for the rest of the season, he will get strong consideration for player of the month, all NBA, and no one wants to face the Rockets in the playoff, including the Spurs.

Puppies defeated by celtics. So now it's between Yao and Shaq.

I'd put money down that he won't get it.
