Good for Bird. One of the few people who is good at everything in basketball (playing, coaching, exec.).

Unparalleled basketball mind IMO. Top 10 player of all time despite health issues shortening his career. Amazing coach. Amazing GM. No one has been absolutely elite in all 3 phases.
I wish he was there last summer, when the Pacers were making their bench signings. Now they are locked into a few painful contracts. Oh well. Awesome news for the Pacers.
I also believe he would make a fantastic Basketball analyst. Replace Magic with Bird on the ABC/ESPN show and it would make a heckuva difference imo. (Even though that show has other problems with Wilbon, Jalen and Simmons). I say that despite always being a Magic fan and a Bird hater. Bird is just gold. As a coach, gm, and I truly believe he would be exceptional as an basketball analyst on tv.
Ya, because he did! The only thing he has to do is teach the Pacers how to "not let the opposition get under your skin" in a physical game.
