personally id rather have the trio of jh/cp3/pg13 instead of eg as much as i like him. hes a good player but if I have a chance to get a player like him id do it. Morey would have no problem with pg13 on this team

Wouldn't trade him either, he fills his role and plays the game with a short memory and no ego, we could use more players like him, especially if they can hit threes from 40ft lol

The reason I wouldn't do it is because they play different positions. You'd be basically putting Ariza on the bench for George and Ariza doesn't provide the kind of scoring punch that Gordon can.

You'd be strengthening something that is already REALLY strong at the expense of the bench.....and it might be just a rental.

Right now gs are favorites to win the chip. You dont think that trading hardens backup for 2 way paul george wont make us favorites?

And we know wb simply makes his team mates see oladipo

While harden and cp3 the opposite see ryno

Yes, if he agreed to re-sign. Start him and Ariza up front. Bring Anderson off the bench in the Gordon role. Go find a third guard. (Wouldn't be a critical need with George on the team.)

Isn't it usually the rule, the team that gets the bigger star in a trade gets the better outcome...

PG would make us a better defensive team but worse offensively, is that what we want?

I think pg13 is better on both sides of the ball than EG. thought that was kind of obvious

How? Pg better offensively than ego. You think ego by himself could have carried the pacers to the playoffs last year?

Pg is a superstar not just a defensive specialist

This question would be answered very easily 3 months ago...now its really 60/40 in favor of getting PG even if its a rental.
I would actually prefer it to be a rental because of our opportunity sign Lebron next year. If we do win it all he will stay 100 percent and the lebron point is mute.
He is that transcendent 3rd star that would get us closer THIS year.Plays both ends of the court. Plays off ball...he checks all the boxes.
At the same time EGs trade value is probably at its absolute peak right now.I dont know if i would add a pick though, that would have to be saved to attach to Ryno later in the summer.

Huh? PG is a ELITE 2-way player who can create his own shot, has playoff experience, AND can play off th ball. He would put us over the top more then Lebron would

Hey me too, in theory though does that put us on the same level as the Warriors. I really don't know...also moving Ariza or Anderson to the bench might not work out.

Why would the Thunder want Gordon over George though?

Paul George wants to win. He will not win in L.A. if we get Paul george will stay in Houston because we are going to the finals with that lineup.

Its not obvious that PG would make us a better team offensively. Thats very much in question IMO

i dont think it makes us worse. i think this current rockets team can give the warriors trouble but with pg13 i think it raises the ceiling even higher. It's great that we have the option of bringing an EG off the bench but his production can be replaced when you have a collection of multiple elite players and other players who are known not to be so aggressive can dial it up a notch.

i dont see it being much of an issue. there isn't anything on the offensive side of the ball that EG can do and PG cannot or even better. and add in the versatility of pg13 both defensive and offensively. hes a great fit here without question imo

First, yes I would trade Gordon for Paul George.

George is the better player and more versatile player and defender.

If the Rockets were to get George they would go very deep in the playoffs and would have a real good shot at resigning him.

Having said that, there is no way in hell that OKC trades the Rockets Paul George after already trading the Rockets James Harden.
