I hope he goes to the Yanks for no other reason that it’ll be freaky seeing Dallas with a clean shaven face

I hope he goes to the Yankees. I'd much rather see him in the playoffs if it comes down to it than them going ace hunting at the deadline.

Not signing immediately? Seems like he should have deals already in place after teams lose the draft pick requirement.

Gotta love it. I know Boras changes it up for some clients, but his tendency to have most of his clients wait should annoy teams. Considering games are being played, I think teams should be prorating offers such that the longer he waits, the less money he gets.

I think it's bullshit. Boras is leaking this because of the lack of interest

Teams are interested. It is just a tactic to drive up the price. It is a tactic that works if Boras can get to the owner and can get the owner to bid against himself. As long as the owner trusts his FO, this tactic should not work.

Why would Keuchel delay signing even further? He is losing money by the day no?

And so the Boras leaking information to the media begins anew.

Yesterday either 610 or 790 was saying the twins may be a option.

Well you’d have to DK, so there’s that.

Guess Dallas it trying to hold out for a two year deal. Also presume the scouts are not impressed with his simulated games.

If I had to guess, I'd say the Braves.

    1. Brian McCann
    2. Keeps his beard
    3. NL (no DH, so that should help his ERA in hopes of a better deal next offseason)

Keuchel is past his prime. He's still got some innings left in his arm, but they're not necessarily all-star caliber. The Yankees are being extremely generous (or they're that desperate) by even offering the pro-rated qualifying offer.

And if Keuchel wants to re-enter the market next year, he almost has to be flawless in the limited regular season (and playoffs) he has left, or risk the exact same scenario happening again next year.

    4. Doesn't have to pitch against the RHBs of the Astros unless the Braves make the World Series.
