Would you rather have been the Astros or the Marlins the last 10 years?

maybe it's not so much about continuity persay but the fact that they've never had a franchise player. A team that has had some crazy success w/2 championships...and no real franchise player to identify with? I don't know.. I think that keeps fans around through the tougher years and it adds another element to the team.

 

Post this somewhere on a Marlins' board. I'd be interested in their viewpoint.

 

Don't knock it, the Astros use to have low attendance when they played at the Astrodome. Not like the Marlins, but still pretty bad.

 

Who would want to sit in a stadium where the temp. and humidity is so high? We don't. Last year the Astros had a game with the roof open and it hit 90 degrees. Most of the seats in the sun were empty. My mom and I finally succumbed in the 6th inning and moved to the upper deck in some shade.

 

Bingo. It's easy to say, when you're the Astros' fan that you'd rather have the Titles - because you get to think about the positives without considering the negatives. But if you look at the reality - the Astros have tons of fans; the Marlins have none, despite those titles. I think that suggests what people actually prefer as opposed to what they think they do.

 

I'd rather have the Marlins, because they have the sexy cheerleaders in the lycra outfits.

try sitting at a rangers game in july or august.... it's miserable.


when the team sucks, the temperature makes it that much worse, and i'm not even a texas rangers fan.
