Would you get into a long distance relationship for a $15k raise?

If you're younger than 30, go for it.
If you're younger than 30 and want kids, stay.

Extra 15k isn't worth losing a keeper, but no doubt it helps your career eating all that lost time traveling back and forth to kiss ass with your bosses.

 

I don't really see the conflict. If it's a really good career move you should go.

If you two have a strong relationship then she will follow you. If not, it doesn't matter because the relationship will crumble anyway.

The 15k shouldn't be enough to change your decision though. The factors that others have explained should factor way more. I would gladly take a 15-30k paycut to work in my ideal role/location/etc.
