Its not the underperformance. Its not the lack of situational hitting. Its not the one-sided luck dragon. Its not the game-deciding blown calls. Its not the fact that its ****ing Boston. Its the realization that if the MLB encourages this NBA-tier officiating, and if this series is tainted by the guiding hands of the league office... Then who's to say last year's title run wasn't? Who's to say that the league didn't send down orders for a "feel good" story for a big market team with no postseason success after a natural disaster? It sucks the joy out of me to think that my team was simply given the trophy like a dependent, and not EARNED like a CHAMPION.
i mean its not like the stros didnt have so many chances to put runs on. boston was never going to be some easy out. people that wanted to play them took the regular season games with way too much value. the better team executed and the better team won this series
"Not earned like a champion?" That's your own damn problem. Last year was magical - one of the best sports moments of my lifetime. Everyone lived & died on each pitch. Afterwards, there was so much joy and those players are forever engrained in Astros history. If you can't take pride in that, if you can't enjoy it, I feel sorry for you. For people like you, there will always be an excuse. Not gonna waste any more time on these types of threads. Be well & go Stros
Those smug Boston fans get to enjoy an elite MLB team (likely WS winner this year), an elite NFL team (modern dynasty), and a elite NBA team that's young and on the rise. It must feel real nice to be a boston sports fans. I'd rub it in too.
Worst part about Sox fans is their MASSIVE inferiority complex, fueled by recent success and the realization that championships are counted one at a time, and 27 is a lot of championships.
I once met a guy from Boston during high school, he treated blacks like a Klansman, whites (that weren't from boston) like Robert Mugabe, had the gaul to call us (mostly white folk from around here) racists, and always lived vicariously through his sports teams, made up entirely of players and coaches who are either black, or white from outside Baasthan. Quite the unpleasant individual.
Yeah, the deep south gets all the racism rap, but the northeast takes it to another level. States like Maine and Vermont barely even let minorities in. Those states are roughly 95% white. Seriously.
Can't be racist if there's only one race . Funny thing is, folks from upstate NY, and the rest of the NE outside MA are pretty nice people, its entirely the Massholes.
Worst part is that one of the b**** ass Dodgers or b**** ass Red Sox will be holding the trophy. Good for TV ratings, not so good for those who hate them.
Hilarious skit. "There's been some complaints about our fantasy football league, we're gonna go ahead and say you CAN pick black players on your team... so that's gonna help out alot."
At least the Doyers went through some serious heartbreak over the last 30 years, don't have much of a problem with them winning considering their horrendous luck in game 7 and the Yu Darvish experience. **** all the cartel-tier thugs in their parking lots tho.
Maine and Vermont are pretty nice. I'm a minority that lives in New England -- the wrap that this area gets for racism is super overblown. A few bad eggs don't paint the picture for an entire region, that's for sure.
