I would love to have a Segway, but not at between $5350-$7200, which seems to be the price range after a quick search. With a bad lower back, I can't ride a bike, so standing up works for me. Just not at that price. Heck, at half the price my wife would kill me if I came home with one! But the stares? I could manage that. ;)

I remember the hype for the Segway. After a while before the big reveal, people had figured out it was some kind of single person vehicle, but based on the hype the creators were creating most people thought they had come up with some kind of revolutionary fuel device (like a very practical fuel cell or some other means to utilize hydrogen). Instead it's just a fancy electric Powerwheel. I was SO pissed I had bought into the hype.

Amazing that basically 10 years later the price is still astronomical.

If we ever come up with a way that will essentially make walking obsolete, then we might as well just be brains floating around in jars... because we'll all be such fat disgusting slobs that our bodies will only get in the way.

May I introduce you to the world of Pandora . One of the selling point is it's very responsive D-pad. This is a community project made by gamers.

My Brother in law and sister went to Hawaii for their honeymoon and brought be back one of these pieces of crap:

    NeoTune iPod Dockable Headphones

Sound was awful, it was bulky.....I tried it for a few secs out of the package, and promptly threw it into a junk bin.

I keep thinking that myself, as it takes me 10 minutes to put on my earbuds before jogging because of the stupid wires.

And how bout a wireless TV remote that doesn't use IR.

He must've crawled into a corner and died from his own unbearable shame.

Or maybe he has this on his Amazon wishlist.
