Why not just do a WC every 4 years, and do a Club World Cup every 4 years and have them staggered?

So you cheer for your national team and your favorite club team?

Would love to see the Club World cup taking on more of a role.......right now, the EUROS are probably in the way though.

I dont think you can ever make the club world cup matter to most as long as the champions league is a thing. From a rest of the world perspective it might be interesting but the champions league is already the highest quality of football in the world so an expanded club world cup would actually be a downgrade.

A World Cup every 2 years would be overkill.
It would end up being very euro centric since few places outside of europe would be able to host that often.

Have Olympics every 3 years and alternate between Russia and China.

4 years seems right. Don't want any kind of overexposure. Once Mars fields a team all bets are off.

I could do Olympics every 1 year, with fewer events.

This shitpile of an idea is going to fail just as hard as the Super League -- and rightfully so. UEFA and CONMEBOL have already issued a warning to FIFA by hosting an intercontinental match under own flag (Euro winner vs. Copa América winner), there are also serious plans to invite four South American teams to the Nations League. Infantino didn't get the message so far, interested to see how far he will go.

I would also invite Africa, the strongest Concacaf teams.

I do wish something could be done to emphasize the club world cup but i'm not sure what exactly

I doubt any fans in europe really cares about the cwc, but its very important for clubs and fans in the americas. Knock out a euro giant and youre immortalized.

    EXpand the champions league.

It is like the USA claiming the WORLD series as the best in baseball - while true, it is not exactly the World...

The Champions League is about the teams that have the best players.

Unless you know how to transfer United's budget to lesser teams and countries.

Budget is a huge deal in the sport.

4 years is perfect and the champions league already exists

The Euro's and the Women's World Cup are already great tournaments that hold you over until the next world cup. Maybe invest more in the Copa America for the 3rd year. System works great to me.

Not really. Champions league already encompasses lots of countries

I disagree, let all the champions around the world in.....when you have Goliath knocking out David you have something.

How do you propose having, say, the champion from Brazil drawn with Bayern and them having to play a midweek game in Brazil and then in Germany...and then having to be home in time for their league game?

They clearly would have to change it to a 1 and done situation, but why not open it up, maybe you start with it being local to knock out most teams, keep it North and South America - until they have 4, then say 8 for Europe and 4 from Africa/Asia.....and play it down from there?

He meant a tournament in one country like the real NT World Cup.

    Did he?

It’s just a terrible idea…on the level of having a WC every 2 years.

That is the minimum, we need to combine with Conebal and have a AMerica's cup....that is competitive with the Euros.

Maybe the top 2 from each play after their tournies?
