Woj: Rockets intend to release James Nunnally if they can't find a deal for Melo

Daryl must be really under pressure, being on the edge of the salary cap, plus trying to dump salary.
Knight, Chriss, Ennis, Carmelo all need to be traded.

The key is Faried being signed isn’t Contingent on Melo being released.

 

I'm starting to think that Anderson's value would've been higher than Knight/Chriss. (You can't really get lower.) I was in favor of the trade at the time, but man, we really lost that one. Especially with Melton factored in.

 

One thing I'd never understand is that Morey is the best trader in the nba and he has done nothing to get luxury tax profit this year.

From the begging to the end, I have strongly against 3 moves
1. Trade Anderson bona fide 35 million contract for anyone else (the same salary) except Knight/Chriss.
2. Sign Chris Paul for his real worth, not overpaid by 60 million because it is taxable and Tilman is scary of repeater tax.
3. Shut down House

It is disaster from 2019 to 2022 because of 60 million overpaid and Tilman.

 

Melo to LAL for heavily protected 2nd rounder (unlikely to be conveyed second rounder)

1. Can we just wait and see what player we get for Knight and Chriss before we determine if the trade was a smart transaction?

2. I don't think the Rockets trade for Paul without a wink wink for his next deal.

3. The Rockets have all the power in this situation with EG and CP on their way back. They can play hardball with him.

 

Knicks would get the bulls top 1-5 protected draft pick, and Bulls would get Houston 1st rounder. If Knicks want more send them Beasley. Works both ways. good trade for all 4 team imo, Lakers really get some goodies.

Brandon Knight would probably start on bulls team as is. Eric Gordon would give Bulls more scoring for them to build around Levine. Lakers just build more around Lebron, and Knicks get Parker, Ennis, Get out of Kanter,Hardaway contracts, and probably get the #1 draft pick for 19.etc.. Rockets get some playoff key role player

I have lost confidence on Morey this season. This man has done nothing this season so far to make a good trade. Why is it so hard to deal Melo and Chriss?

Melton’s value has definitely decreased since we traded him.

It was a smart move to trade him at his peak short term value.

If you are G league players, signing with Morey is not a good thing.
