Does anyone have the balls to ask, why is Bobby Brown not getting a look? Lol. I would love to see the expression on Mike's face.

Demetrius is a better defender. That question was answered inadvertently during the interviews.

Qi sucks. He's not strong, fast or athletic enough to play in the NBA. The ONLY reason hes on the team is because our large asian fanbase. No NBA team will come calling if Qi gets waived. Bobby & Qi are in the same boat

Wow, didn't really know that about 2-way contracts. Demtrius shot well in college his first two seasons, I wonder if he's sharpened that skill. Have you watched him much? How much faith should we put in his development?

EVEN if that were true, it would be worth investing all our resources into developing him to be capable of being an 8th or 9th man on the roster. There is a clear and desirable reason he occupies a roster spot.

Bobby on the other hand can be an assistant coach and it would change nothing else. Personally I think they should play him. I lean towards developing young guys, but this season is different. If we're aiming for the ring, every little bit counts. If he's an excellent shooter (one excellent skill) then why not throw him in there? @heypartner says it's because we spend travel dollars on Demetrius.

I don't know, but I just can't stand Bobby being on the roster and the team openly saying we need a 3rd PG. I don't like that.

Yeah, every day he is with the team, he's being paid the Vet Minimum salary rate. He maxes out at 45 days of NBA pay. After that, you would have to convert him to a true NBA contract, and he'd count against the 15-man roster....or he can't be called up again that season.

Morey will not find anyone worthy. MDA is fine with a rookie, so moving on.

There are other bigmen that have better skill that we dont have 2 develop. Qi being on the roster is just a nod to all the asian fans in China. Yea Bobby Brown's holding up a capable roster spot but so is Qi. The Rockets need 2 cut both

Have you watched Zhou Qi? No way you give up a guy with that kind of potential after a few months. Insane.

Qi has one of the best contracts in the league going forward. His fourth year is 1.75M with a team option! That's 70% of this year's vet minimum (2.3M), for a guy with a 7'8" wingspan that's improving and getting stronger at a pretty fast rate.

    Houston Rockets $815,615/ $1,378,242 /$1,618,520/ $1,752,950

i know bobby is on the team since his broship with our players but can we get him a position within the team? apparently he's not good enough to be played regular minutes so whats the point of having him take up a roster spot?

Agreed, and he’s said he wants to return and would fit the offense as far as the 3 ball is concerned. Can’t speak on his defense don’t know if that’s gotten better since he left Houston
