One is reminded of Stromile Swift, Bonzi Whales et al in the Tmac era.

"This is the guy that will help us get to the next level. Wait, no; it's this guy....."

Media is has no Idea what to make of this move and laughing at the Rockets. That could be a good thing since the media is always wrong.

I never wanted CP3, I can honestly say that -- and this was exactly why. I've seen enough injury prone Houston teams across all sports to last a lifetime. He won me over with his play and I'm sad to see him go, but we dodged a missile with his contract.

People who watch and understand basketball (LOL sorry but you walked into that one).

Also people who saw Dame eat Russ’s lunch in the playoffs this year.

Still not as bad as the neverending buffet of crow Lakers fans had to eat when "LeBrick" signed with LA.

He went from "LeBum, LeBaby, Lebitch" "Will never be as good as Kobe" "Most overrated player of all time"

To...."We just signed the greatest player on the planet" "Welcome to LA King James" "How many championships will we win with Lebron"

    He's $10m/yr better? I don't think so. Also, last I checked Portland had a flat-out better team.

It was a career low year and WB clearly didn't want to be in OKC anymore, but we'll see this season.

If you want to win games, he's clearly a fair amount better. Russ is great at the counting stats but abysmal in any measure of efficiency.

And the difference is like $4-7M annually (varies by year), not $10M.

Well, guess what, we had no shot at Lillard and we do have Russ.

Yes Russ did get owned by Dame last year. I do like that we have Gordon and Rivers to guard the quicker guards in the league so we should take advantage of that. Will be tough to "mask" Harden and Beard on defense against quick SG/SF's but at least both are versatile/strong enough to guard PF's if need be.

They both also rebound well and get a good amount of steals and deflections which the front office love.

Yeah i don't give much importance if any to the swaps either, and in an eventual rebuilding with a bit of luck we might end up keeping at least one of the two picks we gave away.

The more i look at the trade the more i think it's not that bad, although having protections for the top 10 would've been much much better, of course.
