How sad it is to watch a leader drive a once proud party over a cliff, cheered on by partisan fanatics who make common cause with tyrants. although freedom for the iraqi people and changing the dynamic of the middle east were part of the justification for war, as was the belief that these two ideals are inseparable from american security, ultimately the deciding factor was the unique combination of terror, tyranny, and WMD that existed in Saddamite Iraq. that idea did not originate with President Bush. democrats could use a little more honesty, and a bit less demogoguery http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9892090/#051101 -- WMDs make Harry Reid's head explode November 1, 2005 Glenn Reynolds Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid can't stand it. He was hoping that special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald would bring down the Bush Administration for him, but all he got was a lame indictment of Scooter Libby. He showed his pique today by taking the Senate into closed session and demanding an investigation of prewar intelligence. Well, okay -- but then the investigation needs to go way back before the war, to 1998, when a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress passed the Iraq Liberation Act, which provided that: Then there are statements like these: The anti-war fundraising base of the Democrats -- as exemplified by organizations like MoveOn.org -- is powerful enough to require Democratic politicians like Harry Reid to pretend that all the WMD stuff began with President Bush. That is, not to put too fine a point on it, a gross and partisan lie. Reid owes the President an apology. He owes another to the Democratic Party, whose credibility he is destroying, day by day. UPDATE: Perhaps Reid should look at this Senate Intelligence Committee report on Iraqi WMD, which found that errors in intelligence on Iraqi weapons of mass destruction didn't stem from White House pressure, but from groupthink and systematic failure within the Intelligence Community: 1998. Was Bush President then?
If I was a REpublican desperate to hide from the whole Plame scandal, I don't think the WMD argument is where I would go to hide. Absolutely hilarious article which examines only a fraction of the facts involved.
To he!! with "civility" in the D&D. If you can't stop accusing people of somehow being in league with terrorists and tyrants, then I will tell it like it is. You are a lying sack of ****. People who have a problem with the administration over Iraq have not made "common cause with tyrants" as you repeatedly bleat like the deceitful punk you have shown yourself to be. It is truly a bleak day in America. McCarthyism has returned in the form of the GOP and you, as well as the people like you, will be seen by history as lying, manipulating war mongers whose sole driving force is the almighty dollar, specifically giving as many of them as possible to the people who put them in power. You are worse than the terrorists. You are worse than Saddam. They had the power only to do physical damage. They can plant bombs, kill people, and cause fear, but you are rotting this country from the inside. You and your ilk justify torture, lie to start wars, damage national security for political gain, and accuse other Americans of being in league with terrorists and tyrants. You are a despicable a$$.
Great article. Factual and really delivers a silencing punch to the jaw of the pompous liberals who have managed to draw comfort from their left leaning media outlets' half-truths and spin.
Nice article basso -- it must really sting the libpigs on the snout to know that their favorite anti-war conspiracy theories are simply not grounded in fact. Just look at andymoon -- the guy just had an emotional breakdown. Typically people who are comfortable with their position and can articulate their thoughts in a coherent manner don't fall prey to losing their marbles. Typical libs....
Noted by the way they have obstructed any type of independent investigation into how we were lied into a war for the last four years. It's pretty sad that the apologists are now using WMDs, anything to divert attention from this failed, corrupt, and criminal administration. The apologists are running scared.
It's good to see you coming to terms with the fact that Bush acts like a tyrant, and that you're a partisan fanatic. And it is a bit sad to see him drive his party off a cliff: http://www.hist.umn.edu/~ruggles/Approval_files/Approval_27267_image001.gif
Major, that graph sure takes up a lot of space and bandwidth. Especially for a non-contributor such as yourself. Before you post anything else, I request that you contribute to this website. It's worth it.
You really should learn how bandwidth works, silly TJ. Images posted on this BBS take up no bandwidth, but you've made clear many times that knowledge is not a prerequisite for you posting.
What's this data crap? You know that this type of data is created by people who are anti-Americans and want the troops to come back in bodybags, right? Why do you hate America? Show us that you love America by giving your President a blank check to do as he pleases for he knows what's good for you better than you do (that almost sounds liberal ). If President Bush says we are winning the war in Iraq, then by golly, we are winning the war in Iraq! How dare people like you question the President about WMD's! If he says they were there, then they were there! Now be a good American and go back to prostrating in front of a picture of Big Brother Bush. I long for the day when we see murals of him everywhere. (That was total sarcasm by the way. I agree with you )
You should learn how contributing to this site works. Here is how it works. 1. Go to the tipjar 2. Send in money 3. Quit being cheap
Ahhh, ignorance is bliss for you, eh? You should stop taking threads off topic, simply because you're incapable of responding to a thread. Whininess is really unbecoming.
Quit being an ass! Is this "contribute to the site" stuff some ongoing joke or something? If it is, I apologize. If not, then quit being an ass.

Andy, don't worry about it. By his own standards he is in common cause with Al Qaeda terrorists since both he and they supported W's re-election. A CIA agent who worked on the war on terror by investigating terrorist groups and their connections and abilities to get nuclear weapons was outed. That agent had a front company that had established contacts in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere in the middle east. He believes that isn't important. So what authority does he speak with when tossing out those kinds of insults. They are less than meaningless.
