That's a good review. I was planning on watching but not really 'desperate' to watch but it's moved up on my list now.
First two episodes are promising. The main complaint I have for the first episode is they rely too much on exposition through dialogue rather than showing the story. But the second episode corrects that issue. You are also thrown into this world with little explanation of who the warring factions are and their motives unless you are a book reader or played the games. But I'm assuming that is going to reveal itself as I watch the rest of the season.
Been hearing nothing but good things about this show. Have to get some time to sit down and watch it.
Haven't played any of the games or read any of the books but watched episode 1 today. I was a little confused about a few things but i enjoyed it. I will continue to watch in hopes that they flesh out what is going on. I am a little disappointed that it seems the girl that took him to the Wizard tower doesn't show up through the rest of the season. I liked her character immediately.
I haven't read the books but my understanding is that this season is based on a collection of short stories and the first novel, so some of the first episodes/character introductions are more disjointed. The show makes it obvious by episode 3, but lots of people are confused about Spoiler the 3 main character plotlines take place at different points in time.
lol this is basically hecules and xena with no commercials and more gore / nudity. I mean, not that its a bad thing....
never played the game and didn't even know there was a book. all i know is this is about a breh with special powers that hunts witches (?). will i enjoy this series less?
Critics absolutely crap on this show, but I think casual fans / hardcore fans / fans of fantasy will probably love it.
