I've been wondering with all the 40+ and 50+ games during the first round, if Jordan' playoff single game is in danger over the next few years. I get it will feel different since Jordan did it without attempting a single 3 pointer, and anyone doing it now will probably make 8+ 3 pointer to do it. Now it probably won't happen in the second round or later round this year, but I could definitely see it in next years playoffs

So I guess here is the discussion. Will someone break it? How soon? Who would you pick to break it?

yes and it'll be by some 2nd tier star like liilard, booker, mitchell, etc

I wouldn’t be surprised, and I agree with Jontro, it will probably be some 2nd tier type player that does it

Denver already allowed Mitchell to pop off for 57 and 51 in the same series, then gave up 55 to Dame...my money is on them allowing over 63 points 1 day

if not a 2nd tier star, then with the way Luka embarrasses and abuses the alleged “elite defenders” of the Clippers, it might be him...all his playoff games have been against the Clippers, and they’ve made him look like MJ

Kawhi and PG’s defense is all reputation at this point, and Bev is just out there for cardio and fouls

Dame could've done it a couple of days ago if he just kept gunning instead of trying to get his useless teammates involved.

I think a weird scenario could be Durant in the 1st round next year. Say the Nets Big 3 stays together (basically Kyrie doesn't retire), and are finally healthy for all of the 2021-22 season and get the No. 1 seed. I could see him going off even more than like he has for some of 1st round games against the Celtics.

I could see a bklyn net doing it if one of the big 3 sits out and harden facilitates.

I doubt it. Too much firepower on that team. If any of their players get going enough, it would be a blowout. Kind of like Harden, when he went off for 60 and sat in the 4th quarter. It would have to be a team that only had one real star. Trae, Lilliard, Doncic or someone like that.

Harden could easily do it with all the firepower he has at his disposal. Then again, if he ever got close to 20, they are going to be blowing out teams.

My money is on either Tatum, Mitchell, Trae or Jamal Murray

Harden could if there a game with Kyrie/Durant sitting out, though I think that would be more likely Luka if all the Mavs shooters get hot one game, and he just keeps finding and dishing to them instead of scoring.

Itll be broken soon enough. There will also be a new finals record as well. All historic stats post nba/aba merger are going to get burried and lost under this arcade league.

Booker has a chance tonight. But if it's a blowout early, they might just sit him.

Dame only had 38 in regulation. He scored 17 pts in the two OTs, logging 52 minutes

To be fair, Jordans 63 pt was also a double OT game. He scored 54 points in regulation, adding five points in the first OT and four in the second OT.

Booker has no shot at this tonight unless the Lakers start the 3rd quarter with like a 10+ point run to close the gap.
