It's going to be tricky. Trump wants to take credit for the vaccine, but he also wants to feed his Q-base red meat, and he wants to **** Biden and doesn't care at all how many Americans die. How he responds to this dilemma will largely determine the dimensions of the anti-vax movement.
Yes. Republicans will be the anti vaxx party. And yes. Obama (and many others) will film themselves taking the vaccine to quell fears of the masses. The problem is the people who need convincing are the Qanon Trumpists and Trump probably won't do a vaccine PSA.
I think a major overlooked problem is that the must under vaccinated groups (for COVID and all other vaccines) are blacks and hispanics and that has nothing to do with Trumpers.
The issue isn't science for Republicans, it's the truth. They can't handle the truth. And therefore science needs to be tossed out.
I get what you're saying, but the biggest non vaccinated people are blacks and Hispanics who also happen to be overwhelmingly Democrats. I mean, what do you want the CDC to do about something that happened 50-100 years ago today? Their own party leaders are saying to get vaccinated but they refuse. To say its a conservative issue only is absurd. It all comes down to groups of people that don't trust the government for a variety of reasons and not "trusting the science". They are taking their chances.
Honestly, I see more liberals that are completely anti covid vaccine. There's 3 unvaccinated groups: -the wait and see group -the covid is no big deal group. This is mostly Republicans -the gov is trying to do harm to us group. This is mostly black and Hispanic people and Trumpers. But, actual die hard Trumpers are a pretty small group. Most people who voted for Trump aren't the biggest Trump fans.
