both paul and tucker will be 34, turning 35 in the playoffs. we have no picks, will probably use the MLE to retain something out of house/faried/rivers, and our only trade chips are gordon/capela. maybe harden turns from a 36pt scorer to a 41pt scorer, but that still won't be enough. plus the league office, the national media, all the refs, and 90% of fans outside houston all despise us. i'm not looking forward to next year bro

    -11 plus/minus in 5 minutes

3rd worst on the team and the only bench player in the negative.

His contract this offseason appears minimum

Harden needs to take about 30 shots and try to get 50.

well we don't have to worry about another team giving him a big contract now.

Ugh, I'm not going to retract what I said about Ariza and his non-offense, but I regret throwing any support behind House. What a disappointment. I wish I could change my vote to a non-vote, since non of the poll options work for me.

Rockets’ future is very bleak to say the least. I wouldn’t even be mad if Morey trades Harden for pieces for the future, because there’s just no play here.

This is why I was cautious about his production in the regular season.
The big red flag was his yapping about getting a huge contract during the season like he was some veteran starter.
It's disrespectful to the organization that gave him a chance.

    Ariza is TRUE PROFESSIONAL.

If you're going to hold out and try and leverage a few weeks of good play into a full 3 year MLE contract, at least have the gumption to show up in the playoffs when games actually count. He just lost himself millions because he got too big for his britches.

@Zboy you still feeling that same energy about your guy, or what?? He's been completely unplayable so far in the playoffs.

this guy should never see floor any more, they are coming at him knowing a rookie wouldn't be able to handle the pressure in the moment, he needs to work on his game more in the summer to hope for a contract

Lol. This House narrative/battle lines have swung like a pendulum this season. I can't believe how much people were freaking out about this in February.

    Everyone's a soothsayer / future teller.

People who've watched basketball enough understand you have to watch how players play in the post season as well as regular season.

That is why Robert Horry was so valuable.

Reading back through all the outrage threads concerning House is pretty hilarious.

Hope we can keep him for cheap and he continues to grow.

But man some of y’all got so damn fooled by such a small sample.

Ask again next year. His future still looks bright and I hope he's here for cheap.

He's just a rookie who had his season cut short thanks to cheap ownership, he came back at the last second and is predictably struggling against elite defensive teams.

Give him a full year next year without interruptions and he'll be much better. I still think he'll be an important piece to the puzzle long term along with Clark and Hartenstein.

One thing I miss about Ariza is how super aggressive he was in the playoffs. He wouldn't let Harden's super old man playoff cadence affect his energy level. He would attack, attack, attack even if he wasn't hitting shots he was going to hoist them up. I see that in Rivers - he's super aggressive and doesn't wait for Harden.

House doesn't have to hit everything or be perfect just show super duper effort. it helps..

The difference between House and Ariza is that Ariza would never complain about his contract during the season publicly.
Ariza is a true professional who would take care of his business on the court first then tend to his contracts after the season.

that was not the Cluthfans consensus when House was playing well in the regular season.
The lasting memory is Ariza missing all those 3s in the last game vs the Warriors. Everything he did was forgotten.
