I was actually pleasantly surprised to see T Jones battling for rebounds tonight. I'm not his biggest fan, but he played hard tonight.

He played okay tonight, but generally is worse than he was last season.

He is a much worse finisher and rebounder this year and worse defensively as are most of the Rockets.

He should be shooting at least a couple threes a game, he's been making them and we need to take advantage.

I don't know seems like he played well, the last 2 games, after the team announced Dmo clear to practice. This tell a lot about a player attitude n determination. Jones seem to me the type of players once he signs a big contract he will stop playing hard.

Pumping up hard muscle has slowed him down, I think. He needs to work hard every night.

It was nice to see him having a good game against the Mavs. Any victory against them is always welcome.

Terrence Jones 17 points, 9 rebounds 1 assist in 32 minutes tonight

Jones and Dwight do BONEHEAD things during games that pi$$ is all off for sure...but if Jones in particular can produce numbers like this consistently then maybe I won't complain so much. At the same time, you always get the feeling he can do more just like Dwight...you can see Jones has another level or 2 he can reach but will he ever get there is the question...but having said that not a bad night for Jones. That's kinda his Max output until he finds a way to take it up another notch

I find the more he handles the ball the worse he looks. When he just plays his role he looks pretty solid. I think thanks to Lawson taking more of the PG duties we are going to see a better Tjones.

    Short and easy answer:

    Because he sucks.

    Long and hard answer:

Because he sucks long and hard.

no need to bust out your $100 calculator and crunch in your advanced ejaculatory nba stats nerds, there's a simple answer for the op's question. he's a backup forced to play starter. once you see jones play 15-20mpg backing up dmo you'll wonder why didnt we do this sooner? hopefullyu can figure that on yourself and not resort to your advanced analytics

Hey's a 6'9 PF that didn't develop the postmoves to play downlow. Really, he's a SF. Better ball handling and a more consister jumper and he'd be a solid SF.
