Rockets will have about 3 to 4 days of training before preseason starts. Is there a particular reason they can't have longer camps? Is this NBA regulated? The whole season Silas complained about not enough time to practice because of schedule. Anyone know the reason?
It's the same TC starting date for all teams i think. Earlier for teams with international pre-season games.
Tillman is trying to cut down on his utilities expense. AC, water, electricity only a few days a week and he instructed the team to open up windows when it’s breezy rather than turning in the air conditioning.
I bet Wemby and Chets total games played combined will be less games played by PJ Tucker for the Rockets.
They need to give starting c goon n backup DESTINY a rest, Both has finished their training camp in Europe lol
We have the weakest offseason culture of any nba franchise. Billion dollar investment that's treated with minimum maintenance
Yes, that’s it! It couldn’t be that every team starts training camp at the same time (aside from teams with foreign pre-season games). https://www.nba.com/key-dates
On the opposite end of the spectrum seems to be the Toronto Raptors, who hired off-season workout guru Rico Hines as an assistant coach. (Credit goes to another poster who told me about this.) https://www.sportingnews.com/ca/nba...-new-assistant-coach/jlq4whlstyeulirpmema5old As a result, Scottie Barnes (along with Siakam) seems to have spent most of his summer at these workouts, where he got to play against Harden, Paul George, and other NBA stars. I guess this could backfire if Barnes and other Raptors burn out from exhaustion in the second half of the season. But still, I'd be excited if the Rockets had a similar strategy in place.
