Cause he was supposed to be traded a long time ago and they still haven't traded him. Ironically this is what most folks wanted on CF's saying he should be on the team still. Its been a massive fail by this front office that they didn't traded him already and turned down the 1st round pick offers last year. The time to trade him passed a very long time ago EG being held hostage is absolutely pathetic.
We aren't winning games and haven't for 3 years now. If we were close to .500 I'd say it's fine but at this point we can't be giving Eric Gordon 30 minutes a night of play time. That's too valuable for development. He isn't increasing his value being a starter. Gordon has been in the league for 14 years. Teams know who he is. He also isn't being some great veteran leader, I don't think I've seen him say a single thing. It's time Stone.
There was a part during yesterday's game where even our resident no-hustle fatty Nix (of all people) was calling out Gordon for not moving an inch to help on the defensive rotation. EG is most definitely checked out.
Silas is the short answer - Long answer Stone It’s been questionable for almost two years now imagine if we did the PHI deal at 23? Who’s available? Jovic/Hardy/Beauchamp/Roddy…. Even if we drafted another player I would rather that player develop in the g league than watch Gordon stunt growth to this level.
It is particularly odd given he’s starting at the 3, if he still gets minutes when Tate is back it’s outright malpractice on Silas’ part.
EGo has played well for us over the years and I am grateful for that. He deserves to contend...and I honestly don't think he should be taking minutes away from our young guys--let alone start over them.
"Showcase". It's a ridiculous concept really. It assumes that the other front offices aren't actually paying attention and that we can fool them into thinking a player is better than he is if he plays good for a bit. "Wow Gordon just dropped 30 after half assing it for a month! Send a 1st round pick for that guy ASAP!"
Why? Two words. "Fake Comebacks". The front office has been inconsistent for a while. They sat Wall and paid his ass the whole season but kept playing Woods (until he's traded) and Gordon. Anyway, I may be the minority but I want Eason to start because of his disruptions which covers some of the defense deficiency of our guards.
Never forget Stone tried to resign oladipo after that botched trade Oladipo decided he would rather sit on the bench in miami than be a part of this trash organization
The same reason why House and Nwaba were initially ranked above KJM in the rotation. Silas is a dogshit coach and plays guys according to their draft position. Also Stone is really testing my patience with doing nothing for this long. He's basically done nothing for 3 years straight now while other tanking teams got good pieces for low prices ( Bol Bol for example). Not trading ego, not firing Silas, not doing anything is quickly wearing out all the credit he's built up with the good drafts
