Why don't women get more attention/credit

Women getting more attention? I think they call that "sexual harassment"

 

Women were/are partly complicit in their own subjugation.

 

I don't think this holds for white women; particularly in a corporate environment. There are a hell of a lot more of them than us, and they seem to network more effectively. Every time one of these [r]unts gets married or pregnant: showers, gifts, cards, emails with 15 MB baby picture attachments. And then when they bring their babies to work? Jesus Christ.

Black guys don't get to do that.

 

Nothing sexist about it. Its the truth. If you are a pretty girl, things will go much smoother for you. Its a fact of life. Men know it. Women know it.

 

Blaming the victim? How disgustingly predictable.

This. Women are hitting the books and the courts. And with it hitting men in the jewels

And this. Different but Equal.
Everyone cant have it the same way unfortunately. There will always be haves and have nots. I just dont like the idea that certain genders and races have the built-in advantages and disadvantages even right out the womb.

 

Got It-Flaunt It woman and Feminist woman. Two types that tend to interpret for themselves what female empowerment is

 

She comes off as a power hungry feminist. I think most men a intimidated by strong women.

 

Or simply recognizing the schism within their own gender regarding women's rights and roles. There are some women for whom accepting a subordinate role is actually beneficial to them economically, socially and politically; this is why they're not unified, and why it seems like less of struggle, and why they get less "attention/credit."

 

Or maybe the whole process of courtship and marriage would disappear overnight; and the more aggressive, physically larger gender would simply "take it."

 

We had co-ed schools way before we had integrated ones.

And it perpetuates the stereotypes women have had to contend with for far too long. Look, this argument just isn't going to fly with me. I consider myself a feminist and have been a strong supporter of women's rights for decades. I understand that a lot of guys can't figure out how it's wrong to view women the way they do, and many will complain at length about how women use "their sex" to get out of a traffic ticket, get a promotion, get a better grade from a professor, etc., but until we reach true equality of the sexes, and we are very far from that, you'll have to put up with guys like me.

Its like the urban myth of the "Welfare Cadillac." Talked up ad nauseum by those opposed to public assistance, when the reality is something else altogether.

 

Women already rule the world. It's men who are becoming extinct.
