MAYBE Budinger will be better than them in the future, but right now, it is not the case.

Chase isn't close to any of those Guards on their. I guess you COULD argue Jonas...maybe... not a big omission.

Reasons CBud did not get selected:

1. There are only 8 players on the team, not 12. I bet he has a spot in a 12-man team

2. There are no conspiracies. more than 8 rookies have put up more production or even starting for their teams. CBud has not yet become that.

3. Rockets have no nationally televised games to this point. People have no idea who are actually on the Rockets, let alone our rookies :grin: Us Rockets fans watch CBud night in and night out and know who he is and who he can be. Other people just read boxscores and go "eh dude puts up 6 points in reserve duty, pass"

The only person that Chase is better than is Jerebko. Chase is shooting a lower percentage than Jerebko. We have a very strong rookie class this year. I definitely think given more minutes Chase would have made the team. He's playing only 18 minutes per game.

 

Oh and Brent Barry...in the shooting star event. So two Ex-Rockets and I don't think Brent will be wearing a Rocket uniform for that event.

Chase is not better than any of those who were selected. He's good by the Rockets' standards, but it doesn't mean he's that good compared to the rest of the NBA rookies.
