Why do people continue to say Parsons can create his own shot?

And those Mavs fans who were rubbing it in our faces will be so annoyed at Parsons and Cuban because of the massive contract.

This is how Parsons scored his points:

1. Wide-open 3's.

2. Running the floor on the fast break and getting a lay-up or 3-point shot.

3. Camping out by the 3-point line and waiting for the kick out, then he would pump fake and take it in for a lay-up.

4. He'd make a nice basket cut every-now-and-then and get a lay-up.

The vast majority of the time, he was either hitting a 3 on a kick-out, pump faking and getting a lay-up on a kick-out, or scoring on a fast break.

He wasn't somebody that a player could pass the ball to and he'd create and make something happen. That was never Parsons' game... and it baffles me as to why people are saying it.

In a vacuum he is slightly worse. On this team Ariza's catch and shoot ability is much more important than Parsons ball handling ability as a fit with Harden and Howard.

parsons was a half step slow as a ball handler.
