Initially I was thinking Boston, because I fear New York's historic HR hitting lineup more. For however much Boston's offense was better than New York's this year, Aaron Judge is the first guy I've seen since Barry Bonds where I just wonder if you can even give that guy a pitch to hit. Also he's like Barry Bonds in that they need to test his sweat because he's dripping in Bain juice. Aka, steroids. As in. Aaron Judge does steroids. Anyways, now I wanna face the Yankees, because we didn't just beat Cleveland we WRECKED them. Each game became more and more lopsided. To me, there's even greater reward in putting the Yankees in their place for the third time in four years. We've got Daddy status against them. Bring 'em on.
Rather play Red Sox. I'd feel better IF we lost to a team with more reg season wins than us. Last postseason Yanks gave us more problems than Sox as well.
I think people are over valuing Houston's games against Boston this year. Red Sox have better pitching and hitting than the Yankees. If you want to beat the "best" to be the best, by all means, pick the Red Sox. If you want to the best chance to get back to the World Series, pick the Yankees.
My vote is for the Sox. I have faith in the Astros, but something about the Yankees worries me. Would also be nice to beat the team who had the best record pretty much from start to finish, I guess. Either way, the Astros will get another shot at taking down an all time great franchise. Beating either team on the way to another WS title would be very satisfying.
Is it me, or are the Yankees starting pitchers just not that scary? I'd also not like to face Sale twice in a 7 game series.
theyre not. thats a huge weakness for NY this year. very inconsistent. not nearly good enough to match up with hou and actually beat them in a 7 game series
Did not realize how good Eovaldi is, nor did I anticipate THIS Severino to show up at home. Tanaka had a great Game 2, and at Fenway. Maybe the Yankees can come back tomorrow, and then Tanaka repeats his Game 2 wonders. I want that HFA, and I want no part of Sale/Martinez. Those who prefer BOS can say what you will about the regular season games, but postseason will be different, and there's a reason why Boston won more games than New York.
Do not care in the slightest...but I do feel we match up better against the Sox. Mostly, I just want that series to go 5.
Both are very difficult. The Red Sox like up scares me more than the Yankees. The Red Sox have the better top of the rotation horses too. Still I think I would rather face the Red Sox because their bullpen is vulnerable and the Astros tend to do better late in games.
Both lineups are great. Both rotations are okay. Yankees pen is nails, Boston gets 4 games at Fenway though. I vote Astros.
