you don't need killer mentality, honestly we just need everyone to play smart and consistent.

Harden just need to play above average and not be rattled like always does in the playoffs. The shooters need to hit their open shots and CP just does CP.

My guess is that Gordon is going to be the MVP of the playoffs with CP3 not far behind. I expect some daggers from Tucker, Ariza, and Green. Harden's scoring average will dip as opponents throw the kitchen sink at him. He will have boatloads of assists and turnovers..

I wonder who the Rockets leading scorer in the playoffs will be.

glad you brought this up. CP3 is definitely the one with that attitude and Harden is the complete opposite. Hopefully cp3 can influence Harden to do the needful.

Dayum, I'd wish we had someone like Boris Diaw, Anthony Mason.

Someone down on the block who can make plays.

I think that will make the system even deadlier.

Harden will likely lead in box score, what I want to know is who will use frustration to fuel them to make better decisions and be more aggressive vs complain to refs. You guys are delusional if you don't think our some of players come off as soft offensively by standing around the 3 point line. We have guys that fit a system which is great, but in the playoffs we need dynamic players that can make adjustments to what they do. We've seen teams do things to limit the offensive system, and you can bet Pop has several ideas. You guys blame D'Antoni for not making good in game adjustments, so there has to be a player that steps up on his own too. Harden is great at taking what the defense gives him, but with so much game planning around him I think someone else will need to step up.

The fact we can't depend our best player to lead with that killer instinct says alot

Rare combo to be the best player AND have an effective killer instinct. Lebron, KD, Dame, are probably the only guys that I'd fear getting upset in the playoffs that are superstar level. Plenty of stars that you see become a detriment when they see things they aren't use to like Westbrook , Boogie etc.

KD can score in bunches and also drive in for demoralizing dunks that can change a game, no one else on that team can do that. He's the kind of guy that would demand the ball and make something happen. Klay and Draymond don't have that instinct. AI is not the same player he was 3 years ago.

I expect to see a fair few games that go to crunch time finish with a Chris Paul midrange jumper followed by a Chris Paul midrange jumper followed by a Chris Paul midrange jumper followed by a Chris Paul midrange jumper.

To answer the question though, our defensive intensity and mongrel is going to show up in the playoffs.

Boy, if y'all thought you'd seen the best of PJ Tucker. Strap the hell in and get ready for a ride. Watching him on defense is honestly going to get me just as excited as a clutch step back 3 from The Beard.

James Harden has to be relentless on both ends of the floor.

sure having a superteam around you makes everything easier

where was his killer instinct when after being up 3 to 1 they got swept 3 games in the WCFs?

for the past 5 years, who had the heaviest offensive burden in the playoffs - meaning who had to not only score a bunch but assist and playmake a bunch as well because there was no other scorer/playmaker on the team?
