Where will the NO Saints play?

If the reports are correct and they say that the city will be 25 feet under water for up to 4 months. Where will they play this year and what will the 1.5 million people do? Very sad times for such a unique city :(

If it becomes that serious they could work out something to share Reliant with the Texans for a while or most likely play at LSU like the bears played at the University of Illinois while Soldier field was being renovated.

I would imagine the league would work something out with Reliant, or maybe Tampa/Jacksonville, or that the games would simply be changed to away games.

After looking at their schedule, counting the last preseason game, 5 of their next 8 games are on the road, so I'm sure that it won't pose THAT much of a problem. And that's assuming the absolute worst with this thing...

I guess they still play in Louisiana this season. But if this is bad as we are hearing I wouldn't be surpsised to see them playing in LA in the near future.

That was the first place I thought of. SA will beg to differ, though.

The Alamodome would be a good place, too. Especially since there's no football there. Probably one of the more plausable options.

If LSU's stadium is ok, then I'm sure they'd play there. It's bigger than UT's and near their fan base.

I'd imagine that they'd play in Baton Rouge (perfect stadium for them) or maybe even Mobile...

According to ESPN.com, the Saints traveled to California to resume their practices. Kind of ironic since California may be their permanent destination in a few years.

I don't see why it wouldn't be Baton Rouge; Tiger Stadium is a fantastic place for a game, one of the loudest in the country and is just about to complete a minor stadium upgrade.

However, if Baton Rouge had serious issues due to Katrina, why not The Rock (M. M. Roberts Stadium) in Hattiesburg? If this scenario happens, too bad that October 9 game against Green Bay is on the road.
