When We Sign LeBron in 2018, What Other Vets Will We Add?

It's obvious Morey is shooting for the stars, and with the biggest Star of all time being a FA this offseason, it's clear Morey has him in his crosshairs. He tried getting the groupie of Paul + Melo this offseason, and as we all know, including LeBron, those three are the best of friends.

I'll leave the cap finessing to Morey, since that's his job, but this thread is aimed at cheap veterans to fill the voids after we gut the roster. I believe that if we get that done and sign LeBron, vets will be lining out the door to play with the greatest team ever.

Joe Johnson: Obviously hasn't won a ring, but his intentions aren't totally clear. Does he want to continue money chasing? Or does he want a chance to play with the GOAT team?

The Corpse of Dwyane Wade: Not the same player anymore.... clearly... but can provide valuable minutes in the playoffs. Great chemistry with Bron. I think it's a given he follows LeBron here unless he goes back to Miami to retire.

Richard Jefferson: Running on fumes at this point, but LeBron made him look decent again. I'm sure he could do the same here unless Jefferson decides to retire.

Kyle Korver: High IQ shooter. Taller Steve Kerr. We all know what he can do.

Vince Carter: Wouldn't play many minutes, but he's a good shooter that can provide more than Corey Brewer ever did.

Channing Frye: Over the hill stretch 4, but in this offense he could get alot of open looks.

Quincy Pondexter: Utility forward, poor mans Mbah Moute.

Andrew Bogut: Washed up but good 3rd string center. You can't teach size.

Dante Cunningham: Lowkey player that flies under the radar, good 8th man to have on your squad.

Jameer Nelson: We're probably going to be flooded with guards, but he's old dirt, he can ride the bench.

Omri Casspi: Doubt he would leave the Warriors, but why not try?

Luke Babbitt: I'm not sure what the market holds for Babbitt, but he would be a great addition for a cheap cost. Laser 3pt shooter.

Jason Eugene Terry: BRING BACK THE JET! Hung like a horse. Balls of steel.

Mario Hezonja: Looks as if he's about to fall out of the league, but I want to see him play on a competent team.

    DeAndre Liggins: Defensive specialist.

Ian Clark: Better than most people give him credit for, ALOT better than Bobby Brown. I would love this addition, personally.

Dishonorable Mention, Dwert Herwerd: Only would be accepting if he signed a 1yr deal near the Vet Minimum on a leash shorter than my forearm. If he shows any signs of incompetence or cancer, you cut him immediately.

Continue this list in the comments!

    WOULD LIKE TO RETAIN:

Luc Mbah Moute: Might get paid, but he might have winning as a bigger priority.

Nene Hilarious: I'm near positive he's going to retire a Rocket.

Clint Capela: We cannot afford him when we sign LeBron, he's looking like a top tier center. Oh well, Morey can find another in the late first round.

I like your optimism, but let's be real here... we're losing to GSW in the Conference Finals.

It's one thing to start a useless thread based on a a daydream, but to really go all in with a 10 page analysis of many random players? Most excellent.

I'm open to suggestions on where else LeBron could go to beat the Warriors.

    We are THE top destination.

What about their friends who can't play but are still in the league? How many roster spots are they taking up? We gotta save roster spots for Bobby Brown, Mike Miller & James Jones!

    Thankfully, the latter two retired.

If you think Wade is almost done you should check Joe Johnson’s stats. With him also being a year older next year.
