When was the first evidence of you on the internet?

The WWW hadn't even been invented yet. Thems were the dayz.

 

We didn't have email in high school, but I got a jetson account when I started college at UH in 93. Started browsing the net back then using Mosaic until I discovered Netscape the following year.

I didn't get online until 1998, so not much of a trail at all.

 

I started using Prodigy in 91 or so, but the earliest evidence I can find right now is a message board posting from 94 with my AOL e-mail address.

Oh my. After some snooping I found that guy said some very nasty things. I hope nobody thought that was really me.

Pretty sad when someone feels the need to impersonate someone on the internet of all places.

Interesting. I started using email in 1993 and surfing the Net in 1995, but didn't post much, nor get my real email address out there. The earliest record I found was from January 1996, when I added my name to a list of people who created/ voted for a newsgroup to discuss and post job opportunities in chemistry. Hopefully they've all found good jobs by now.
