Apparently in some states you have to return old plates to the DMV, but when I got my new plates they didn't say a word about anything like that. Do I have to do something specific with them here in Texas or can I just chunk them in the trash?

You're supposed to give them to college students as "decorations."

I actually asked somebody to send me their old license plates from Texas several years ago and they did. I hung them on a wall in a spare bedroom as decor.

Hang them on the wall of your garage.

Damn apartment living...a lack of garage makes them useless. ;)

Thanks for the feedback. It's good to know I haven't been breaking the law by not turning them in...

That's what I'm going to do after I paint the walls black and purchase a few oompa-loompas.

Don't forget the blacklight, the lava lamp, and the felt wall hanging of dogs shooting pool! :D

I am not sure, I just leave them stacked up in gargage, they are not something I would hang up on the walls.

You could always sharpen the edge and use it as a dust pan for men.

When your wife asks where the dust pan is, you can respond by saying that you only use the man pan.

    She will be impressed.

I like to throw mine in the mississippi and hope that it ends up in the belly of a tiger shark caught in Nantucket waters.
