You really included Lamb on the same list as professional basketball players. That's super generous of you.

You are right, his extension figure of $2,588,400 is not much by NBA standards .... extending him or not won't be about money.

Maybe it's premature to give up on him but from my perspective, he's been a total zero.

He was touted as a defensive ace and hasn't been able to stay in front of anyone at all on any level - he was getting torched in the G-League.

I'm not seeing an NBA athlete.

Then add to that his being a total negative on the offensive end to the point that teams don't bother guarding him.

Maybe the team gambles on him turning it around.

I look at the 2022/23 season as a try out season. Its the season where we need to find who fits, who sticks and move the rest for other needs.
I think the Rockets want to contend or at least start to look like a team that wants to win something by the 2023/24 season.

So its not just the guys mentioned in this thread on the bubble, but the whole team save 4 or 5 guys.

I don't know Denis Schroder situation but at the very moment he is showing to Giannis and to the world "who is the king".

A great opportunity for Rockets (sign and trade).
