    He was talking about the NBA okaying the trade. After what happened last year, you never know if Stern would block a trade again.

    So tomorrow is Wednesday and it is the deadline.

    I'm nervous on this one big time. We can't give away what people say is a lot, which it is in a sense, and then not extend him, please god, Morey sign him.

    Just got through talking with Les/Morey and they
    informed me that they would be signing "The Beard"
    to a "Poison Pill Contract".

    Five years at $1 with the sixth at $80+Million.
    Making it impossible for anyone,including
    themselves to match!!!    :grin:

    Wasn't the whole thing with Harden being traded because he went 60 over 4 and okc were only offering him 55? over 4, I'm pretty sure thats what Presti said

    I think the reason it's been taking a while to get him signed (Deadline is today) is because Morey is trying to make sure he can fit another Max Contract for the second player.

    The offer from Presti was 52 for 4 but Harden wanted to make sure by signing a discount deal, he wouldn't be traded. Presti wouldn't promise that (details kind of sketchy). Presti upped it to 54 as his final offer and gave him one hour to decide. The rest was history. I am sure that Harden hasn't been in the league long enough to qualify for a no trade clause.

    I believe the qualifications for a NTC are 8 years in the league with 4 of those being on the same team. Harden obviously does not qualify.
