It's U2. But it's OG U2. Possibly two of the greatest live performances ever, at least by U2.

My favorite performance of my favorite song by my favorite band.

Literally nothing better than young and angry Sting (watch at 1:35). I love how they used to play all their songs so fast live.

Just skip to like 2:45 and when the song really kicks in a few seconds later, the bassist is so into it that it looks like he's going to hurt himself:

Early Gojira, around 2005 and before, back before they made it big, had amazing shows in these tiny venues. They really gave it their all and it was impossible to not love it. Plus, ****ing hell, that is the sexiest heaviest song.

And here's another, who I think I saw live for the first time when they were performing before Gojira at a show. I had heard his songs before but was never a huge fan. But live? He is great. Really turned me into a fan after seeing them live.

i dont know why, but this one popped into my head when i saw this thread...i love this version because its so different than the recorded one. just elton and a piano doing it in a blues/gospel style.

there used to be a better quality version up, but cant find it.

Alyson Moyet performing "Only You" with an Orchestra at the Burberry Fashion Show in 2016. Both she and her voice have aged remarkably since the early 80's.

A legendary performance that was both great but also got Elvis Costello banned from SNL for 12 years because Loren Michaels was offended that he played song critical
    Of mass media.

you know, with all the jokes and sneers made about this guy over the last 30 years, he's really turned his reputation around lately. From his Foo Fighters concert appearance to his Glastonbury Festival set with Blossoms last year. Together they did an entire set of Smiths songs and it ended up being one of the biggest crowd favorites from the entire festival.
