We all know the refs screwed us in the last game. That said, our offense has been total crap for 4 games straight. Even if the refs had called a better game, we might have won but that still doesn't fix the problem with our offense. We can't blame the gimmick defense Utah threw at us because GS isnt doing that. So forget the refs for a minute and explain what happened to our shooting? What happened to our ball movement? What happened to our floaters? What happened to our lobs? What happened to our offense? We struggle to score 100!
An offense based on shooting the lowest percentage shot, the 3 pointer, is going to look very bad at times. Utah defended the 3 well and Golden State has been one of the best 3 point defenders during their championship run. Second year in a row the bench is disappearing. More reliance on the starters will lead to tired legs and poor outside shooting.
The complaining distracts cp3 mang. Truth is cp3 cracked under pressure big time. Believe it or not if cp3 had to do like curry and play off the ball out of point forward, cp3 would struggle big time. IDK I might be wrong.
CC is not 100. That removes the screen roll option lob pass and makes James's floater more predictable. We're getting more defensive stops, but it might be tiring the team out. Stupid **** like not boxing out after a hard fought stop or even moving off the ball is so noticeable late game it hurts. It also looks like they're opening up the midrange, which makes a landing strip of sorts for our offensive big 3 (Ego, not Clint) . It's similar to last year where not many of our guys could create off the dribble after they make some adjustments to our adjustment.
makes me wonder how bad harden's wrist/hand is. i noticed he was passing alot more on shots he shouldve taken especially when driving
Harden is shooting 36% from the field and 33% from deep while averaging 5.3 TO per game these playoffs.
You rely on 3s and FTs. The first one is a high variance shot, you better be looking for backups otherwise its feast or famine. The second rests in the hands of the officials. I don't know why the rockets FO can't grasp this.
13/14 from the free throw line in game 1 would suggest his wrist is fine. New season, new playoff, same old excuse. It’s time for him to step up and be better. Simple as that. I’m as pissed as anyone else about the missed calls but he’s gotta be better than 32% from the field. Even with the 3-4 missed calls.... he was 4/16 from deep and 9/28 overall with 4 turnovers. That’s not good enough.
We’ve played Utah and now the switching defense of Golden State. Don’t expect great offense. We’re going to win ugly with better match up iso ball. When we get to Denver in the WCF then you can expect some nice offense. Until then, unless we’re insanely hot, it’s not happening.
I dunno. What’s more painful? In the previous 3 playoffs excluding this year. He shoots 41% from the field and 29% from deep. With the same 5 or so TO per game. Like I said... he needs to be better. Been waiting year after year after year after year after year.
1. We waste too much of the clock. End up chucking bad shots if the opponent plays 5 good seconds of defense. 2. Harden needs to learn to pass to the left corner with his right hand from the drive. Warriors are leaving that guy to cover the drive and the lob simultaneously.
