I go back and forth from hearing both.. It isn't as hard as all these Audacity nerds are making it. Think of it like using your ears to focus similarly to how you use your eyes. If you focus on the lows you hear Laurel, if you focus on the highs you hear Yanny. Butttt, probably nobody will understand this unless you can hear both.
I have no idea how people hear laurel. I hear no 'R' sound in there what so ever. To me, it's Yanny, clear as day.
Ok first I heard Yammy or yanny and now I hear laurel as clearly as ever, almost as if the recording was altered from the first listen to the last
Fu**ing Laurel Found this tool: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/05/16/upshot/audio-clip-yanny-laurel-debate.html If i put it juuust past 6.5 bar i can hear both. Before that all Laurel.
I think it depends on the type of speaker you have. If it is better with low frequencies or high frequencies. I just hear Yanny. So I tried it with two different speakers one was Laurel and one was Yanni. I guess this test helps identify whether your speaker is better at playing high frequencies or low frequencies.
