What did you do on 7/5/13 when you heard D12's decision to sign with Houston?

I'll never forget 7/5/13 on the ClutchFans BBS. From 2pm to 6pm EST I stayed in that one Dwight thread and kept hitting refresh for news. What a wild and crazy ride!

I was listening to the radio and I had it on all day to hear Dwight's decision. After hours of frustration, finally like around 5 pm when the breaking news came in and heard Dwight's decision that he decided to sign with Houston I got so excited and just screamed! I ran around my room and then ran around my home yelling "Dwight is coming to Houston!". And that wasn't enough, I ran around my neighborhood for about a mile with a smile on my face and neighbors were just looking at me like I was crazy. I didn't care I just kept running and yelled "Dwight's coming to Houston!"

Lots of clapping, went to a bar to celebrate and then saw the Broussard tweet, started drinking more from depression and then back to clapping and celebrating. Excited for next year.

 

I almost crapped my pants, and it was a good thing that I was already sitting on the toilet...

 

I was at a music festival in California.

my dad texted me the usa today news and I donned all the Rockets gear I could find, walking proudly through the festival grounds...

 

My Pacer Fan nephew texted my wife, who was relaxing on the banks of the Guadalupe River, who then texted me while I was helping a buddy make some homemade brew in Spring Branch.

And this was done while I was religiously checking CF all that day...and she still finds out before me. Sheeesh.

But the icing: hanging out with a bunch of Spurs & Mavs fans that weekend.

 

Boise or So Cal? If its Boise, MOSDEF! I feel like im literally the only Rockets fan in Boise. I got some questions for the "bandwagoners" and im not afraid to call them out. 16 and younger I wont bother you, and congratulate you on your perfect choice of sports team selection. If your older may got have mercy on your soul because you will end up a Bobcats fan.

 

I kept watching a vintage Rockets Spurs game where OT dominated and got a good night sleep.

 

I ran & jumped around my front yard shirtless when I got the news.

 

Hey, I'm 16 and I die hard! lol

 

I had just landed in D.C. and when I turned on my phone, I got a text message from a friend saying we got Dwight. I just got a big goofy grin on my face.

 

I was driving to Spanky's Pizza when it happened. Then sat in front of the tv as I enjoyed some delicious wings and pizza while Laker Land crumbled to the ground.

 

im not from the houston area but damn, SPANKY'S PIZZA? I would never go to or speak of a place like that, let alone eat there

 

I was here on Clutchfans from start to finish and then when USA today said that Howard choose Houston I was in shock
